Conveners Keith Grandberry and Erin Byrd, along with Black Youth Vote Coordinator Deven Anderson, led a team that registered over 13,000 people.  The team targeted Guilford, Forsyth, and Wake and Cumberland Counties.  Activities included “Souls to the Polls,” with 35 churches providing rides to the polls during the early voting period during which 6,500 people voted. Election Day activities included transporting over 350 people to the polls and providing poll monitoring within their targeted precincts.  Efforts also included a “March to the Polls” with Winston Salem State University, as well as voter registration at community cook-outs, university football games and job fairs.  In expanding their efforts, they were able to distribute over 280,000 North Carolina voter guides throughout the state, and partnered with Latino organizations to register voters.  Field Partners included NUL, NAACP and APRI.
