The Unity '08 Coalition conducted a focused outreach effort on voter registration, education and verification, which garnered nearly 800 registered voters. Led by Donna Frisby-Greenwood in partnership with Pat Coulter, the Philadelphia Urban League, and Black Youth Vote! Coordinator Tiffany Brown, the Coalition educated more than 500 people at special events, including a screening of the film “Chicago 10”, where participants were informed about the importance of election protection. The Coalition established an initiative with the Philadelphia Youth Council and area schools to engage, educate and register young voters. Field Partners: NUL, CBTU
