Led by Esther Bush (Pittsburgh) and Rev. Judith Moore (Mon Valley), the Pittsburgh Coalition focused their Unity '08 voter registration and GOTV efforts on literature drops, launching mobile phone banks and voter education trainings. The Unity ’08 Pittsburgh Coalition sponsored a standing room only Presidential Debate Watch party during the Pennsylvania primary with special guest Hill Harper of CBS's "CIS New York". Hosted by talk radio powerhouse Bev Smith and Essence Magazine's Susan Taylor, the Unity ’08 Power of the Sister Vote event inspired and motivated Black women leaders in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia to register and help Get-Out-the-Vote.
